In early July 2023 Johann and I embarked on a road trip across Southern Africa with a bakkie and a rooftop tent, it took us through sandstorms in Namibia into the Okavango Delta in Botswana, past the Chilojo cliffs in Gonarezhou, Zimbabwe through Zambia with all her beautiful plains and up to Ndole Bay on Lake Tanganyika. The return journey took us down the shores of Lake Malawi and back home through Mozambique. We sketched, photographed, and recorded the extraordinary landscapes that continued to astound us as we made our journey. To Lake Tanganyika and Back will be showcasing this journey in sculpture, embroidery and works on paper.
