In Arabella Caccia’s studio at 196 Victoria Road, Woodstock, Caccia paints a painting in performance with cellist Jessica Bailey. They spontaneously improvise together. The performance lasted 3 hours and was filmed by Jack Mason.

The painting remained on the wall for a couple of months and was then painted out. The intention of the performance is to capture the creative process of two artists in response to each other. The art was the energy that was created between the two performers, in that moment in time. When the sound stopped and the painting was no longer being made the performance was over.  The painting was painted over with white paint.

The performance by Arabella Caccia and Jessica Bailey acknowledges the importance of the creative process and the energy that generates which flows from the performance out into the world.

"Each work is simply a point on a journey – a journey which is an attempt at, a quest in search of truth. A goal which is both mysterious and highly illusive. It is a quest that will preoccupy me for the rest of my life."
